Countryside Pet Grooming, L.L.C business owner, Heather Dabney is a professional groomer of 18 years. She is the proud parent of two children, Austin and Sierra. Her favorite pastime is hiking with her dog Hawkeye, reading, trips to the beach, and cruising. She is an advocate for the grooming industry and continuing education among local groomers.

Full Time Groomer
April Bower has been grooming with us since 2018. She is our “Doodle Queen” and her specialty is fluffy scissored trims. She loves showcasing her skills with stylized breed cuts.She is a Staunton resident who enjoys hiking, working out, and UVA basketball. She lives with her husband Kodi and four dogs Roscoe, Kobe, Zeke and Mabel.

Morgan Diehl
Full Time Groomer
Morgan joined our team in March of 2021 after 6 years of previous professional grooming. She lives in Stuarts Draft with her Boyfriend Russ and thier son Jase. She has two dogs Hazel and Opie. Morgan enjoys bowling and going to the racetrack in her free time. Her specialties are elderly dogs and “nervous nellies”.

Madelyn Gibbs
Full Time Groomer
Madelyn started with us in August of 2022. She quickly decided that she wanted to learn to groom dogs. She succesfully finished her level 2 training with The Paragon School of pet grooming in 2023.
Originally from Chatanooga Tennesee, she is currently living in White Hall with her corgi Theodore, poodle Franklin and two horses. She is also an avid horse rider.
Credentials: Bather/ Brusher certification. Level 2 Graduate of Paragon school of Pet Grooming. Pet CPR & First Aide certified, 15 Coat Types course. Certified Canine Esthetician
Madison Nicely
Full Time bather/ groomer trainee
Madison has been on our team off and on since 2015. She was our first official employee. Madison lives in White Hall with her grandfather and pup Diesel. She enjoys video games and spending time with friends and family. She is currently studying through Paragon School of Pet Grooming

Shannon Dykes
Full Time Bather/Brusher
Shannon joined us in March of 2023. She previously worked in a dog daycare facility for six years where she managed and cared for hundreds of pets. Shannon plans to persue a grooming career in the near future. She lives in Scottsville with her fiance and thier pitx Turbo. She enjoys all outdoors activities such as hiking, kayaking and mountain biking.

Summer Carlsen
Part-time bather
Summer is a Virginia Tech student studying in applied behavioral science. She currently works two days a week with us while also working as a trainer at Canine Campus. She enjoys hiking with her 3 dogs and spending the day on the lake.
Credentials: CPR first aid certified.
Aleesha Wells
Receptionist
Aleesha is our newest team member. She joined us in August 2025 after six years at a local dog daycare.
